Installation of Wallgate and Galvin Anti Ligature designed sanitaryware is underway at the new E Tū Tanekaha unit at the Mason Clinic in Auckland.
The Wallgate Basins and WC Pans provide an extremely robust solution whilst maintaining a domestic look that assists in providing a normalised environment for the patient.
The Galvin Anti Ligature “click connect” showers provide flexibility for either assisted or unassisted use.
The water supply to the WC flush, basins and showers will be managed by the Wallgate Electronic Water Management System which will enable the nurses and facility managers to have remote management of the outlets if required.
The new 15 bed medium secure unit replaces an old 10 bed unit that was no longer in use due to weather tightness issues, and is part of an extensive programme of facility upgrades planned for the coming years.
The new unit is expected to be opened in late 2020.
