Wallgate and Galvin Anti Ligature sanitaryware has been selected by the Canterbury District Health Board for installation in the new Hillmorton AT&R (Assess, Treat and Rehabilitate) building.
The Wallgate sanitaryware has been proven to withstand extreme patient behaviour in one of the high care units at Hillmorton over the past 12 months and it provides a normalised domestic look that assists with the rehabilitation outcomes for the patients, whilst providing a very safe solution for both patients and staff.
Galvin “click connect” shower heads will be installed which provide flexibility for either assisted or unassisted showering.
Galvin Anti Ligature floor wastes have also been installed which further absolutely minimise any opportunity for a patient to self harm.
During consultation with the CDHB stakeholders, we were asked to develop an Anti Ligature drinking water cup and bottle filler and Galvin have developed and delivered an in wall unit that provides a very robust and safe solution.
